Grandpa and Tanush

My Dad has taken to telling stories to Tanush at night to put him to sleep.. Tanush waits on his grandpa to come and lie down with him, tell him a couple of stories, sing a couple of lullabies, and then he may sleep..

On rare occasions Tanush sleeps off.. And the rest of the time, dad sleeps off and we have to carry an alert Tanush to his bed and start the process afresh..

..On my way to the Cantonment Rlwy Station, Bangalore this building comes to the left.. I didn't have a waterproof ink pen, so when I got home and painted it, it kind of smudged.. It went well with the gloomy day that I drew this on!

Mom

I liked the way the light came on from behind her.. Lighting just the right side of her face.. But, for a quick sketch, I couldn't do much justice to mom's looks; she just kept changing her expression - sometimes even sleeping.. :)

Tanush recognized her.. So I am good..!

Grandparents

I took my sketchbook along when I visited my grandparents last week.. I always do, but this time I pulled it out.. A quick sketch of grandpa while he was talking to mom.. I noticed that grandma was interested a lot too.. I made another quick sketch of hers too..

She was frank enough to let me know that she didn't like it.. "It looks pretty bad!!" LOL

It was a tiresome wrap-up, though we were thankful that we had been disposing things off from some months now... Otherwise, with me expecting our second one and cleaning up the place all at the last minute, it would have been quite a headache.. We got some time to relax and play with Tanush too, so the transition was a little smoother..
