Self Portrait - Completed! :)

So here it is....
Braving all my fears!
Self Portrait - Completed!

This is what I am going to mail to Julia Kay's Portrait Party... Not a masterpiece, but, hey, it's a start! I am actually feeling quite proud that I made an attempt in watercolor - something I have been always scared of...!!!! (I am sure it is ok to pat oneself in the back...! :) :) )

You did it! You did it! And you did a great job of it too! I'd say you took a difficult angle and did a great job with it.

shalini,
the new look of your site is just wonderful. The new tag line is just topical and innovative.

As for the portrait i don't have adequate words in my vocabulary to praise it enough. really breath-taking.

keep it up.

This is excellent! You have every reason to feel proud - it is a beautiful watercolor self-portrait! For me it is hard to draw anyone I know, and especially myself! I only tried this once, a long time ago, and am not in a rush to do it again. lol.

I can also understand freezing. This happens to me on the major projects, especially ones that I am doing well on - I am afraid I will screw it up.

But you did not let it overtake you and that is great! Congratulations!

I'm not sure I agree with your "not a masterpiece" comment! I really like the blend of colors. Looks great to me!

You did a good job, and yes it's OK to pat yourself on the back so long as you aren't contented. Lovely work.

If you have time and interest, I'd be honored to have you check out a little project I'm trying to get off the ground! I'd be happy to extend the mailing date if necessary.
