Tried some serious watercolors here... Shedding all fears of applying washes... I am kind of impressed though as a self critic I realize that I still have a long way to go here... I am also impressed that I could cook up such an imagination.. I am weak at that!!

This one was before I put in the outlines in the end.. I debated for 3 days on whether I should really outline..
I think this one looks better.. and I am not happy with my scanner either :( The true colors just don't show up!!

I liked the first version, but I really, really like the version with the outlines. It really pops!

Thanks for sharing,

Yes, the outlined version is the one. Have fun on your watercolor adventures! You are well on the way to nailing the medium.

I like it a lot! And I gotta agree that the first version looks a bit better, the colors are sharper =)
It's really a nice perspective and I could totally imagine Tanush's hands playing the Sitarr. ^^

Thank you all... Well this is an imagination sketch. Glad to know that I didn't spoil the painting by adding the outlines..

What a beautiful creative picture! I really wonder about outlines too - but I think that the result is wonderful!

The addition of pen lines has improved the first version Shalini (which is good anyway), made it more detailed and distinct. Nice painting.
I know what you mean about the scanner, my scans look OK in Paint Shop Pro, but as soon as I upload to flicker or blog, my paintings seem to have a blue tinge.
